Deputy prime minister says unemployment in Russia increases
MOSCOW, Jan 13 (PRIME) – Russian unemployment is growing albeit it is hard to measure it, Deputy Prime Minister Olga Golodets told reporters Wednesday.
“We see certain trends which point to the fact that we must be more attentive to employment questions today. And albeit the number of vacancies remains at the same level, we saw at the end of the last year that unemployment, not the registered unemployment but the one which is estimated by the statistics watchdog, has a tendency to rise,” Golodets said.
She said that the government has tools to support a stable labor market situation.
